Holds the line
Virtually eliminates flex under operating loads.* Your wing holds its angle.
Takes one for the wing
In a crash, it's designed to give way instead of the wing.**
Bench-tested. Flight-tested.
Every Tendon grade is flex and impact tested on WingBones test rigs, and each plane's Tendon design has been flown.
What Tendon is
The fiber goes where the load goes.
Tendon puts continuous carbon fiber just underneath the surface of the joiner, laid along the path the flight loads take. The fiber is embedded in a red polymer that bonds with the WingBones carbon fiber composite around it.
That is the red you can see on a Tendon joiner.
