Impossible? Not anymore.
The joiner we couldn't make. Until now.
A center joiner for the Prestige 3PK*, made with WingBones Tendon technology: continuous carbon fiber, embedded in a red polymer that bonds with the WingBones carbon fiber composite, laid along the path the flight loads take.
Key Features
- Holds its angle. Tendon puts continuous carbon fiber where the load is, so the wing holds its angle under operating loads.
- Pilot-tested. Flown on a Prestige 3PK. No signs of flex.
Two grades
- Light: for light, unballasted builds. Recommended all-up weight: F5J minimum to 1,350 g (47.6 oz). About 50 g.
- Standard: for standard and heavier layups. Recommended all-up weight: F5J minimum to 1,500 g (52.9 oz), ballast included. About 53 g.
WingBones Tendon™: continuous carbon fiber
Tendon joiners carry continuous carbon fiber, embedded in a red polymer that bonds with the WingBones carbon fiber composite, laid along the path the flight loads take.
Holds the line. Takes one for the wing. Under operating loads, the wing holds its angle. In a very hard landing or a crash, the joiner is the part that gives way, not the wing. Without that design intent a continuous-fiber joiner could be far too strong for a crash. No breakaway design is perfect, because no two crashes are the same, but the intent is built into every Tendon.
Bench-tested. Flight-tested. Every Tendon grade is flex and impact tested on WingBones test rigs, and each plane's Tendon design has been flown.
- Your angle. Choose a standard angle or a custom angle in 0.5° steps.
- Free shipping in the USA. Every Tendon joiner ships free within the USA.
