I’m Randy West, the owner of WestVector Solutions LLC and the designer behind WingBones, a brand dedicated to keeping your RC planes soaring with top-quality wing joiners.
My Journey with WingBones
My journey with WingBones began in 2019 when a fellow F5J pilot suggested I try making joiners with my 3D printing skills. I was skeptical but gave it a shot, testing that first joiner in my Volo—a plane I still fly, though Volos are sadly no longer made. Word of mouth spread as pilots praised their performance with varying angles and durability. By 2022, demand had grown to a point where I founded WestVector Solutions LLC to continue bringing my joiners to the aviation community and to develop parts for full-scale experimental aircraft (not joiners!). The WestVector logo 
is now replaced by the WingBones logo 
, but the joiners remain the same.
Crafting Quality in Chandler, Arizona
Based in Chandler, Arizona, we manufacture every WingBones joiner with premium carbon fiber composite polymer, tested to endure the desert heat. As an industrial engineer, I bring a technical mindset to my designs. My V3 design, launched in 2022, was a breakthrough—outperforming earlier models without relying on protruded carbon fiber. I used custom test equipment and CAD analysis to optimize performance and reliability. The result? Joiners trusted by world champion pilots, with hundreds of sets now flying worldwide.
Supporting the RC Soaring Community
I’ve been part of the RC soaring community since 2011, when I discovered the magic of soaring after starting with a Champ Ultra-Micro (not the best at soaring). I compete in local contests, national contests, and recently was fortunate enough to compete in the F5J world championship in Argentina. I have run many F5J contests large and small, and have served as a club officer for nine years. My mission is to provide reliable parts that keep your aircraft performing optimally, supporting the growth of RC soaring.

I am focused on joiners now, but more products may soon join WingBones with a focus on keeping our planes flying. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or flying a vintage plane casually, we are here to help you soar.
